Day 6

I had the most terrific honor that a person can have today at work. There was a fallen soldier who was from my area (no, I didnt know him) who was being escorted back home. My Commanding General was presiding over his funeral. There was an email that went out asking for volunteers to line the streets of the base I work on as the hearse passes. Of course, it took NO time for me to raise my hand. So in 30 degree weather, we (both military and civilian) lined the street from the flight line to the front gate; BOTH sides of the street. All to salute a man who gave his country ALL he had to give. Of all the movie stars and sports personalities out there, I have FINALLY gotten to witness a REAL and TRUE American hero! God bless his family as they say their final goodbyes.

This man whom I didnt even know inspired me to strive even more for what I want. So to that end, my daily caloric intake was 1155. Kinda low but I had a light (and healthy) dinner. Then I did my "WiiFit for cripples" and managed to squeeze out 468 calories burned. I feel really good and am not hungry in the slightest. I even had a small piece of brownie and a half a glass of milk as my dessert.

Feelin great about myself now today! Prayin this trend keeps up.
